CIRCLE
#10 - RAILWAY. BERLIN. 5 - 6 JULY 2010 / part of PICNIC11
: BERLIN
Working under railway lines on a huge landscaping site. clay, soil, sand, mad, rust, grassland and dog walks will become tennis fields soon and our traces and action - archaeology. The Walk from our studio to the site was important - straight line, not busy street lined up with sex workers, and later on the way some Turkish shops, and later sleeping blocks, and after the big open landscaping site and railway lines above. by walking 3 subjects started to step into our conversations: THE BOX MAN by Kobo Abe, DRAUGHTSMEN'S CONTRACT by Peter Greenaway and FITZCARRALDO by Werner Herzog. We build a frame on wheels and stretched almost transparent fabric over it. The frame will be moving around the site and town, and walls will be covered by drawings of all things seeing through - the bridge, railways, grass, flowers, the ground of the construction site, lights at night, may be dog and people too. After 24-hours of wondering in the field under passing above trains THE CIRCLE / THE BOX / THE SHELTER was paraded on Berlin's streets meeting obstacles, people and conversations
